ABOUT US
Positive Motorcycles® is an Italian startup founded on the shores of Lake Como, the birthplace of Alessandro Volta, inventor of the battery in 1800, where craftsmanship, engineering, and passion have always been inextricably linked.
We're building EGERA, the electric motorcycle that proves you don't have to choose between performance, beauty, and sustainability. Made in Italy. Truly.

Timoteo Maffei, founder
Living on Lake of Como
A builder at heart, Timoteo has spent his career at the intersection of engineering and entrepreneurship. With a background in mechanics, electronics and business management developed in Switzerland, he has worked across the biomedical and automotive industries in Switzerland and Europe.
But motorcycles have always been his true calling. From developing and constructing Moto2 for MotoGP in 2010 and 2015, to running a spare-parts supplier company Italy, to co-founding a premium electronic audio startup, Timoteo has consistently turned ambitious ideas into real products.
Positive Motorcycles is his most personal project yet.

Giovanni Rigolli, Head of Design.
Living in Cremona
Giovanni is the creative force behind EGERA's distinctive lines. Graduated in Transportation Design with a Master in Race Engineering, he brings a rare combination of aesthetic vision and technical rigour to every curve of the motorcycle.
His career spans some of the most respected names in the industry as Benelli QJ, Betamotor, Tamburini, Marabese, Keeway Motor, giving him a deep understanding of what makes a motorcycle not just beautiful, but right.

Andrea Boscato Sopetto, Electronics responsible.
Andrea joined the team after a chance encounter at EICMA and it took about five minutes to realize he was exactly the person we needed. When asked a technical question, he didn't hesitate: he grabbed a screwdriver and started taking the bike apart. That said everything.
Bringing hands-on experience from Polimi Motorcycles Factory, Andrea is responsible for the electrical architecture, electronics and battery systems of EGERA, the beating heart of everything we build. His passion for motorcycles and technology is the kind that never switches off.

WHAT'S NEXT
EGERA is already a real motorcycle, road tested for over 2,000 km. Our goal is to bring it to market in 2027.
Our in-house manufacturing strategy gives us full control over quality, timelines, and costs.
