THE PROJECT

From a sketch on paper to 176 km/h.

This is how EGERA was born.

2020 — The idea

It started with a simple but radical conviction: Italy, the country that invented motorcycle culture, had no premium electric motorcycle to call its own. Every serious option on the market was either German, American, or Japanese, and all priced above €14,000.

Timoteo Maffei, founder of Positive Motorcycles, decided to change that. In 2020, with five years of self-funded R&D ahead of him, he picked up a pencil and drew the first sketch of what would become EGERA.

2021–2022 — Design & Engineering

The hand sketches became a full three-dimensional computer model. Every component was virtually simulated before being physically produced, reducing assembly errors by 98% and keeping development on track without a large team or external funding.

Parts were then manufactured using a combination of traditional precision machining and modern 3D printing, all in Italy, with automotive-grade suppliers.

March 2023 — Unveiling · Bologna, Italy

After 24 months of design, development and long nights in the workshop, the prototype was ready. EGERA made its public debut in Bologna, the Motorvalley, handcrafted, fully functional, and unlike anything else on the market.

"3 seconds faster than a Ferrari Testarossa."

On the runway of St. Moritz Airport, during the exclusive Km Lancé speed event, EGERA reached 176 km/h, covering the 0–1,000 metre sprint in just 24.66 seconds. 3 seconds faster than a Ferrari Testarossa.

For an electric motorcycle weighing 150 kg, priced under €12,500, built by a small Italian startup, that result said everything.

2024–2025 — Validation & Refinement

Track and road testing continued.
In August 2025, World Championship driver Jacopo Monti put EGERA to the test on a circuit, confirming its performance, reliability, and driving sensations in real-world conditions.

In parallel: TÜV homologation process initiated, design and trademark registered in 27 EU countries and India, 90% of strategic suppliers secured.

2026 — Now

EGERA is ready for the next chapter. We are raising capital to bring it to market by 2027, and we are looking for the right investors to join the ride.
